Exports of flour from Ukraine increased from 83.5 thousand tons in 2010 to 368.9 thousand tons in 2016 (or more than 4 times). This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Elena Kovaleva.
“This indicates the orientation of exporters to deliver value added products to foreign markets. In addition, in the marketing season that expires, another record will be set by the volume of grain exports “, – predicted the deputy head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
According to Kovaleva, next season, under difficult climatic conditions, Ukraine’s export opportunities are likely to be more moderate.
Earlier it was reported that the export of grain from Ukraine has updated the historical record: as of May 17, 2017, Ukraine in the current marketing year exported 39.142 million tons of grain, which is 120 thousand tons more than the whole 2015/2016 MY.
Previously, in Minagroprode, it was reassured that a significant cooling off in Ukraine would not significantly affect the harvest of winter and spring crops.
“The further state of crops will depend decisively on the favorable weather conditions of the spring vegetation and proper care”, – calmed officials.
